Description:
Water crystals are the easiest, cleanest and most efficient way to offer water to your feeders. They can be used for crickets, mealworms, superworms, roaches etc. The dry crystal will absorb water and swell to nearly 400 times their dry form in weight. One ounce of crystals will generate more than 1 gallon of gel!
Preparing gel:
Roughly add 1 to 2 table spoons of dry crystals to 1 gallon of water. It’s always better to have a little more water than crystals as it gives them the best opportunity to absorb the maximum amount of water. Once added to water, leave the crystals for a minimum of 2 hours (ideally overnight) to maximize hydration. Drain water and serve to your feeders.
Directions:
For crickets, roaches etc - Offer a dish that contains the gel. The size dish and amount of gel will depend on the number of feeders you’re watering. If the gel is gone within 24 hours increase the quantity of gel.
Mealworms and superworms - For mealworms and superworms add a small amount to the top of the bedding. It’s important not to overload them with gel because they won’t eat it and it will most likely spoil the bedding.
Pro Geckos Notes:
The easy way to water! All my feeders receive water crystals for moisture. My roaches get the large crystals while everything else gets the medium crystals.
