My name is Cody Castellanos (Owner of Pro Geckos) and I have been keeping
reptiles for 10 years and breeding for 8 years. It all started in 1998
with a three toed box turtle named Shelly. She was my first reptile
and she got me obsessed with the hobby. Reptiles, especially geckos
are my passion. I strive to produce the best quality geckos around.
All of my breeding stock came from top breeders and have been carefully
selected for a gecko's individual pattern and color. Our breeding facility
is fairly small so each and every gecko gets the attention and care
it needs. My animals are considered part of the family and are treated
as such. All geckos are constantly being checked and monitored with
the cages being cleaned every day. I feel that this is the only way
to produce stunning and healthy geckos. This is my goal and I can't
wait to share it with you.
I feed our geckos mealworms, superworms, along with orange head, discoid,
hissing, oriental and lobster roaches. Every insect is gutloaded with
Pro Gutload so it is very healthy for the gecko to eat. Gutloading
is feeding a very nutritious diet to the insect such as carrots, grains,
lettuce, potatoes, and citrus fruits. There is also a little dish with
calcium powder in every cage so the gecko can get more calcium as needed.
Even though I have a small breeding facility customer service is my
#1 concern. I'm here to take care of you with any problems you might
have even if you've never purchased anything from me. Feel free to
e-mail or call with any questions or concerns you have.
Some of my other hobbies include web design, graphics and auto racing.
I'm a full time college student majoring in graphic communications
and business. At the same time I started getting into reptiles I started
racing outlaw karts and sprint cars. My dad raced sprint 100s and sprint
cars for over 20 years and was very successful. He became unable to
drive the cars so I took over the wheel. I did this for 4 years but
then decided I didn't want to anymore. That's when I really started
getting into the geckos. The racing was a lot of fun and it's something
that I'll have memories of forever.
Anyways I hope you learned a little something about me and thanks
for reading!
Thanks,
Cody Castellanos
